8 STEPS FOR A MORE FULFILLING LIFE!

Article By Pastor Ernest Scott

1. Count Your Blessings

Blessings come down from up above. As children of God, we must all be aware of what God does for us at all times. The world does not know Jesus, and it does not live for righteousness, nor is it mindful of the things of God. So count your blessings by acknowledging the one who has the power of life and death. Who also has the power over the magnitude of blessing poured out on your life continually. Counting your blessings will place you in a position to receive more and more from God.

2. Practice Acts Of Kindness

When you practice acts of kindness, it releases good continually in your life. Let's face it; you know how good it feels when you do something for someone, and they appreciate it. Even if they are not appreciative of what was done, the act of kindness releases blessing in abundance in your lives. Anytime you do good; it will be measured back to you by God. When you practice acts of kindness, you release the seed that will enable you to reap the same type of blessing back to you in full manifestation. This manifestation will ultimately be reaped back in your life because you are the source and the root of the seed. Remember this as you practice acts of kindness.

3. Appreciate Life's Joys

When we truly appreciate the things that God has given us, we will then be able to enjoy life. Life is to be enjoyed, no matter what comes our way. Now, this is hard to understand, especially if you are going through a horrific time. Many things happen in life, but the fact remains. When we have an attitude of gratitude, it releases blessings. Everything continually changes on a regular basis in life. So if you are having a hard time now, appreciate what you have anyway because tomorrow will be a much better day.

4. Be Thankful For Mentors

Mentors change lives. So if you are blessed enough to have a mentor, by all means, be honorable. Embrace them as they lead and guide you into all truth. In all your getting, make sure you gain understanding. A mentor should be lead by God and not-self. Remember, mentorship must originate from the mind of Christ. Not the mind of men.

So your mentor should be connected with God. If not, you will ultimately receive some information that will be out of alignment with God's purpose for your life. So remember to be thankful and make sure your mentor connects with Christ.

6. Invest Time and Energy in Healthy Relationships

Your relationships are essential. Make sure you surround yourself around people who want to see you succeed and overcome the issues in your life. If the people you fellowship with are negative and they don't have much to look forward to. That will eventually rub off on you if you continually hang around them. Unfortunately for many, they have very negative family members.  This means you must be selective regarding what you share; it's that simple. It does not mean you stop being around them because they love you. The best way to handle this situation is to keep your business to yourself; that way, you won't have to hear the negative criticism, and you won't have to feel like you were just hit by an invisible mack truck. And remember you only need God's approval, not man's permission to enter into a much better quality of life.

7. Take Care of Your Body

Your body is the temple of the holy spirit. So make sure you take good care of your body, and it will take good care of you. This means eating a healthy diet, exercise, and rest will add years to your life. There is a major difference between laziness and rest. Good rest requires at least 7 hours of sleep per night.

Your body needs time to regenerate itself so you can function on a much higher level. These tips will keep you looking younger as you age, and it will keep you in a much better state of mind.

8. Develop Strategies For Eliminating Stress

The first step to stress elimination is realizing you can't control everything. And when things happen in your life that is out of control, just give those things over to God. And the things you can manage don't allow them to take over your life. This can sometimes mean making a log of changes in your life. Changes that will not be easy, but in the long run will ultimately develop successful patterns and spiritual growth in your life. 8 Steps to a more fulfilling life By Pastor Ernest Scott

Forgiveness is the key to being able to move forward in the things of God. Having an unforgiving spirit attached to you will ultimately destroy your life. It will do this by causing you to carry around toxic thoughts that will hinder your performance and eventually make you sick. So the first step to forgiving is to realize that you are forgiving them for your well being. Let's face it a person that has done you wrong could have already been forgiven by God. This individual could have already been placed on the road to a fulfilling life, and you could be stuck all because you won't forgive them over there trespasses.

So remember, you must forgive. And if you have a hard time with it, ask God to help you. Psalms 46:1 NKJV Reads God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
